Yet another piece of slipware.
A really unusual decoration of keys and keyholes !! A rather distorted shape and no sign of a mark  ? amateur potter

Maybe someone has seen the decoration before

Professional potters normally use a mould. Could it have warped while drying? Or taken off when too wet or got stuck? Or does it feel like it's been made without a mould?

Difficult to tell. The clay has been rolled to an even thickness. I can't really tell whether it was slumped over a mould or hand shaped. The shape only goes awry in one place ( bottom right quadrant in the image)
I wonder what is represented by the keys/ keyholes ?
