Does anyone recognise the make of this studio pottery bowl

Hi.  Does anyone recognise the maker of this studio pottery bowl.  Found in the North West of England there is a good mark on the underside but I'm afraid I can't find it in my BRITISH STUDIO POTTERY MARKS.  I think it could read MP and I'm assuming the 94 is for the year (1994) but could be completely wrong.

The bowl measures 31 cms in diameter and is 7 cms deep and weighs 1.3 kgs.

Any help much appreciated.

It looks vaguely familiar. might be MP or MAP or MR, and '94

Looks Persian/Iranian/Turkish. The sort of thing that they sell in shops that also sell Persian and Turkish carpets.

There are Indian and Chinese vases with figh decoration but I think this is studio pottery.

There's also a matching vase that weighs 1.4 kgs and measures 20 cms tall a 16 cms in diameter. Hand thrown (I know that really means nothing). I'm afraid my camera has run out of battery so can't post any images. However this does not have the same mark on the base. This has an inscribed JP or JR or OR. I'm away for the weekend but as soon as I get back I'll post some images (unless anyone finds out something sooner).

Sorry for the delay.  Here's the images of the vase and mark.  May help but I must admit after scouring books & the web, I've still come up with nothing for either the mark(s) or similar decoration.

I thought so, but that doesn't really seem to tie in with the mark on the bowl. Mass produced with marks to make it look like studio work?

I wasn't going to say but I thought that the second you posted it,I have seen them on ebay posted month after month
