Matte raku and copper glaze pot with narrow uneven neck rim.
I'm sure I've seen something like this before in a modern art and ceramics gallery or shop. It's just a small 5.5" in height, but there's a lot of work gone into it. There is a very indistinct scribble to the base - a little star like in form. Not sure it's a mark a such. Can't place it... any thoughts?

Raku. Ive seen simila ones but don't know the potter I'm afraid.

Thanks. Just looking at 'raku...purple...copper' through google. I have found some similar looking glazes by Chris Hawkins. Not sure of the neck finish though.

Chris normally stamps his pots. There are a lot of potters doing raku at the moment, plus imports from South Africa, etc, so without a clear mark it's difficult to tell who made it.
