Zuyari Gwi - Nigeria Empty Zuyari Gwi - Nigeria

Below is a picture of a large coiled and incised traditional Gwari vessel made by Zuyari in the village of Gwi (hence her second name), which I sold a few years ago. Her name, Zuyari, is included in the incised decoration.

Although she always worked in earthenware, Michael OBrien did get her to make the stoneware pot below, which he glazed and fired for her.
