Hello

I bought this wonderful huge swan- forgot to measure it, and the piece is snowed in at my shop. (I live in Eastern MA, and we had 28" of snow at 10 AM.)  I think it is 14" high. I looked it over and ran my fingers over it and everything was smooth. When I was wrapping it, I noticed the beak ended with a flat cross-section. All the edges are very smooth. Is this:
1. The way it was made
2. A second that they fixed at the glass studio
3. A later break that was taken to a restorer and the edges ground to make it less noticeable.

I am curious as to the value of the swan with and without this issue, if it even is one. Also if anyone knows who made these swans, I would be interested.

Thank you

It was probably finished that way when it was made. Not a great deal of value either way though
