German jug

Blue jug. German, I assume. Sorry, no base shot; I gave the jug to a friend who likes blue pottery. As far as I recall it was unmarked.

if German would imagine Westerwald? but is it saltglazed stoneware? pics look like flow blue earthenware which would suggest to me Staffordshire. And the motifs look like 1880s aesthetic movement, perhaps?

Maybe, but it's more like a fine china/porcelain than stoneware.

It's a piece I found early on when I started collecting pottery, and I always expected to find more, like Westerwald stoneware, but I've not seen another.
