Hi
Thought I'd asked for help with this bowl before but can't find any trace of the post so probably not

Incised mark that looks like LR !!!!!  which bears no resemblance to any of the famed LR's marks although to my eyes the form of the pot  DOES look a little like her work  Aggrieved

That was first thought too. Technically, the bowl is thrown and glazed very well and then the mark doesn't fit, being scratched in.

Looks like glaze in the monogram so contemporary with the bowl. A number of potters have done this sort of decoration - I have a couple thAt are hobby potter pieces. This could Be one too.

but what is the essence of trying to fake someone elses hard work and time put in making their names? and moreover the maker of this bowl seem very good with design.. perhaps start from somewhere i suppose.

Came across a couple of small bowls by Jeremy Broadway last week - the guy who faked Lucie Rie, etc - they were exquisite.
