Don't know what the kanji say but it seems to be factory made Japanese.

Ok got it Now , from Japanese facebook group , it's a Japanese Wine Bottle marks read Dokan Ota Dokan ancestor of Ota Wine Company ,it's similar in shape to our dimple whisky bottles , Iv'e been told that facebook japanese site has a good reputation for id's .

As there was no size mentioned, I didn't say that it looked like a sake bottle (tokkuri) but the shape is right and it appears the size is too.

It has been made to superficially look like a wood fired Shigaraki tokkuri.

Strictly speaking it is too tall for a tokkuri, unless it was an "alcoholics special".

However, even if it is a bottle it would not have had a ceramic stopper.
