Turquoise jug

Post by Guest on September 11th 2014, 7:02 am

I have been struggling to ID this jug, it has a ground and polished pontil. Does anyone recognise the shape? Thanks

Probably Whitefriars Kingfisher Zippy. They did all sorts of shapes with clear handles
like that.

Thanks Denby, much appreciated : ). I wondered if it was that but with not being able to find the same shape I wasn't sure. Must be an unpopular one.

Not Whitefriars.

My guess would be Krosno, Poland. They made very nice quality pitchers in all manner of cheery shapes and colours throughout the 1970s-80s.
