Hi

I'm having trouble with the top word of on this rubbed gold label, could be Vatio or Vetro. I found a couple of examples attributed to Carlo Moretti but I'd like to know what the label says. The examples I have found have both a more rounded knuckle and this angular one but none had any providence to the attribution of Carlo's name.

Approx 5.5 inches high and 3.5 inches across the top.

It will be "Vetro" - Italian for "glass".

Moretti is based in Murano, your piece will have been made in the Empoli region.
