Help with this mark please.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions about this pot.
Thanks.

Re: Help with this mark please.
I guess that as this has had 60 views & nobody has come up with a possible id that it's another of the oddities that I'm drawn to. Oh well.....

Re: Help with this mark please.
Hopefully it'll be in the new edition of Studio Pottery Marks when it comes out.

I have no idea and it doesn't look like anything that I've seen.
Can you tell if it is low fired raku?

I don't know enough about the technicalities - more interested in the aesthetics - I had thought it was raku but whether it's low-fired, high-fired or whatever is beyond me .......

Re: Help with this mark please.
Looks like terraccotta on the chipped area of the foot rim, so possibly not raku.

Re: Help with this mark please.
It's not a chip showing terracotta. It's where the glaze has dribbled - most of the glaze that is there is a greeny/turquoisey/goldy/browny colour

Re: Help with this mark please.
I wouldn't have bought this (in fact I think it's bloody awful - unless I discover it's valuable.....) but I spotted the mark on it and couldn't resist getting another one from this potter.
The seller thought it was possibly French. He also thought it was maybe 30 or so years old. But he clearly didn't know. It's quite heavy.
Does this shed any more light on the potter? Probably not.....
