We have been having discussions elsewhere on the Forum about what we should call such items. However, the thin commercially available glazes, the throwing rings and the scratched initials suggest that this is someone at the early stages of learning to pot.
At least they can throw, unlike many professional ceramicists these days.

The clay looks quite sandy. It might be from abroad, eg Majorca, Ibiza or Malta.

I would say it's definitely British stoneware and locally sourced where the bowl was made, you tend find pottery from Majorca, Malta very light and cheaply made.
