Tubelined vase J.O'Brien??
I have this nice 15 cms tall vase signed J. O'Brien '95. It seems to be a good quality piece with tubelined decoration. I can find no details of a potter with this name other than on eBay where one is listed at £75.00!! There appears to be no details with this listing, so not sure how price was arrived at.
Hoping someone may recognise name or style. All thoughts appreciated, John

Re: Tubelined vase J.O'Brien??
If you google "20th Century Terracotta Studio Art Pottery Majolica Style Vase (J O'Brien)" you'll see another one. The description suggests it's late 19th Century, in which case, judging by the terracotta body, it's possibly from one of the Torquay / Devonware, potteries.
However, if the date is late 20th Century, then it looks to be by a hobby potter.

This is the one I referred to, which I believe says that it is late 20thc based on 19thc design. My one is dated '95 and I doubt that is 1895
