Anyone know this one please?

Post by Sepultus on June 25th 2014, 5:08 pm

I feel I should know this one, I'm sure I've seen it recently but for the life of me I can't track it down.

Edited, because, no, I'm not. But it seems the right sort of clay, etc.

Alternatively
Richard Champion, Monkleigh Pottery

But, again, doesn;t seem right.

We have had the MW mark which may or may not be Maurice Ward, but I'm only seeing one mark here.

Following the suggestions from Naomi I have found an archived photograph from a recent ebay auction for a Monkleigh pottery posy vase with it's original box. The glaze is different but otherwise the vase is exactly the same, including the pierced holes around the top; I have asked the owner of the photograph for permission to use it here and will post it if this is forthcoming.

The owner of the archived photograph has given permission for me to use it, as you can see the shape and the holes are the same as my example so I think it is safe to say it's by Richard Champion, Monkleigh Pottery.
