Giant art-pot

Post by denbydump on June 10th 2014, 7:48 pm

A beast of a giant pot, 16 in high, beautiful glazes, 6 loops, terracotta clay, no marks at all. Art pots are my speciality but the best
I can come up with is Scottish, Dunmore/Rosslyn, as I got it from a Scottish dealer decades ago, but never seen anything else
remotely like it. Then of course it could be continental......

I have seen a few Dunmore Pots In Scotland and This fits the bill imo , I used to pick them up at fairs thinking they were Belgian ,.

I was just going to write that I saw a couple of Belgian pots with a glaze similar to this yesterday but Ed's experiences cover that.
