Any thoughts please on this blue jasper tobacco jar. Decorated with classical scenes plus TOBACCO. I am thinking from continental 7s on base probably European, although English spelling of tobacco.
As always all suggestions much appreciated John

I believe these are German - I have one in lilac with white figures. I think these are moulded rather than the method used by Victorian potteries such as Wedgwood, of applying moulded sprigs of clay to the pot surface. The colour is then painted on the top, around the patten.  Early 20th century?
