Hi, would love some help identifying the potter of this piece please. It's 5 inches tall and 7.5 in diameter. Quite heavy and solid. The impressed mark is VM.

Striking piece but I'm not finding it in the Marks book. Maybe French/N.European? Or one of our unrecorded 70s potters in the UK
