It's unlikely to be Troika, and it's not a pattern or shape typical of Celtic. Tbh I think this is a student piece.

Celtic did use that shape for the Medallion range but the pics are to poor for me to tell

To be fair, a lot of potters made slab vases that shape back in the 70s. The decoration looks to be incised by hand, and not of the quality of Celtic's medallion range.
Unfortunately, without a mark, or someone having a similar pot, it's difficult to Id.

Welcome to the Forum "robbo" and glad that you took my advice to join.

As I have a slightly better image, I'll load that below and see if that helps.

those spots running around the top look very much like Celtic Newlyn, measurments would be helpful

The greenish tinge at the top does remind of cornish pots , it's not troika , I doubt it's celtic either , tremaen might be a possibility but I think Naomi is right with a student piece.

The problem that I have with the "student piece" suggestion is that it looks as if it is made in a mould and has some age.

the base does look as though it might indicate a moulded piece , an inside shot might help , the incised scroll decor isn't very good at all , looks like a shaky hand  Laughter

I think that it's from a commercial pottery but do accept that it might be the work of a new recruit or maybe by a more experienced member of staff after a visit to the pub.  Cheeky

Agreed, but that may just be a trick of the light, or the pottery let some visitors have a go.

It does have a bit of a Celtic look. But the shape doesn't look quite right and the base is wrong for those Celtic made in the Medallion range.
It does look more like Tremaen to me in shape, flat base and the inside glaze.

Smaller than I thought.
That size doesn't match those of Tremaen (the known ones).
It is close to Celtic (height 14cm, width 7cm, depth 4.6cm base & 4cm top).
But I'm fairly sure it isn't Celtic.

So most likely another pottery again.
