Unidentified large bowl, AJP mark? possibly Australian stoneware? Empty Unidentified large bowl, AJP mark? possibly Australian stoneware?

Recently picked this bowl up but can't identify it. I'm in Australia, I have a funny feeling it may be Australian. Very heavy, about 12 inches across, awesome design, marked AP in a kind of scrollish script to back. Anybody familiar with this?
