Japanese jug?

Post by NaomiM on April 23rd 2014, 9:47 am

Japanese or British?

Dimpled sides for holding, instead of a handle, which I think is the Japanese style. Seems to have a Kanji character on the back, but that might just be a product of the glaze.
Marked AL1?

Looking again, it seems to have a wax resist Kanji character on the white glaze front and back, so I'm going with Japanese, or at least oriental.

I think that it's Japanese and the mark isn't out of character.
