5 coloured pottery cones, what are they? and who by?

any ideas what these could be, no hole in the top like a pie funnel would have, maybe candle snuffers / christmas decorations. Look like French / British studio style, any ideas?
approx height 7cm / 2.75in each.

Don't look British to me and seem factory made but what for............. gnome hats?  

I've seen these in garden centres. I think people put the over the tops of canes for decoration or to stop them poking their eyes when they weed. 

they are all slightly different sizes and a bit irregular which makes me think they are not factory made. Cane toppers could be a possibility, they must have some age to them as they came with other pottery from the 1960's, and that was German, French and Norwegian!

A photo of the base would be useful, but until then I'd go with the cane toppers.

We really need a photo, otherwise I'm going with little gnome hats.

Not real gnome hats of course and probably made in China from the description of the inside.
