English Porcelain Tea Bowl, Mock Chinese Marks
Looking for opinions on this tea bowl that I found at a car boot sale at the weekend. I know Worcester used mock Chinese characters on some of their early wares but doubt that this is Worcester. Any suggestions as to the factory?
Thanks

Looks like transfer print cobalt blue patten. The partial mark on the bottom might be because the marks are transfer printed too and haven't been applied properly. Might be a 19th century Japanese copy of a Chinese tea bowl rather than English.

Thanks Naomi, had not considered Japanese although my gut is still saying English so you are probably correct.
