Elaine Goddard Ceramic Vase

Post by BILL GERRISH on November 15th 2013, 2:40 pm

Hello,
I bought a flower vase in a charity shop as I loved the shape. I see it has a stamp mark underneath for Elaine Goddard Ltd.

Can anyone tell me anything about it please? Sorry but having trouble uploading pics at the moment.

Many thanks,

Bill

"Modern Art" is produced by incompetents, sold by charlatans and bought by ignoramuses?

It is enlightening to juxtapose "Fine Art" to "Modern Art"

Seems she was a contemporary of Constance Spry who also designed for Fulham Pottery, but, unlike Spry she left after only a year - 1950.
If it's made at Fulham it would have the Fulham Pottery stamp

I assume she designed items for other potteries.
Photos of the pot and mark would help.
