Pru Green, Gwili and Wivenhoe Potteries

Post by NaomiM on September 25th 2013, 7:31 pm

Gwili Pottery, Pont-ar-sais, Carmarthen, Wales
The pottery has employed several talented decorators over the years. The most collectable being ones signed by Pru Green who was previously at Alvingham Pottery and is now at Wivenhoe, Essex.

Can anyone suggest the potter of this magnificent salt pig decorated in blues and greens. Looks like Paul Green '71 to me but can find no matches.

Might be Pru Green. She set up Alvingham Pottery and then Gwili. This looks more like Gwili

Think you are right. Not sure why I did not think of that the swirls are typical of Alvingham. The colours are not. Looking again you are definitely right. Thanks.
