Came across an obituary with an example of Tom's mark on the bottom of a vessel, which looks the same as the one on this bowl.

Naomi, my pleasure, considering Tom was reputed to of Potted aprox 30000 pieces it seems verry scarce in the market place today .

That was very interesting , I have visited Paisley Museum many times in the past and they have one of the best studio collections around , however very little has been displayed for over two years now due to renovations and stuff , but mainly due to laziness ( not joking ) hopefully it will be up and displaying all the pottery they have locked away before the year is out , but I wouldn't bank on it . Get a move on paisley .

Lochhead Kirkcudbright

Post by cherryt on April 7th 2015, 7:33 pm

Hello everyone

I am new to the forum.  I usually collect vintage glass but if I see a nice piece of pottery I'll pick that up too!  I got a small Lochead dish, and I am really interested what sort of age it is, it is about 5" diameter with brown swirls, as soon as I figure out how to upload a picture on here I'll do it lol

thanks very much

Looking forward to seeing the picture, Cherry. I believe it was a father and son, so the age depends on who's signature or handwriting is on the base.
