Christopher Russell, early Purbeck

my brother bought this for me a few years ago, because of the name, but i've never bothered to find out about the potter.  Anyone know about them?

I wonder if its by that Russell potter that we've had a couple of examples of already, who does slipware.

I think it may be by Christopher Russell. Came across another slipware charger in similar colours, this time marked with Russell's R monogram.

Thanks Naomi, Although it is in lower case, the distinctive "R" and the underline seem right,
as would the use of a local Carter blank.

22CS, the Carter mark is tiny, on the edge, I struggled to get all the tile cement off, so it is not clear.
