Their website also says "Grayshott Pottery also runs weekend monthly events when it may be possible to 'have a go'." so this may be an amateur piece.

The Grayshott Pottery began in 1956 in the village of the same name, taking over from the Kingwood Pottery that had operated in Brook near Wormley in Surrey. It started out creating gift wares but broadened its production to domestic pottery with a "studio feel".

Naomi is incorrect above, as it acquired the Dartington Pottery in 2005 rather than the other way around, and all Dartington Pottery is now made at Grayshott.

Two bowls and a clock by Grayshott Pottery. The larger bowl has a very similar glaze to Dartington's Ruskin range so probably made post-merger of the two potteries.
Clock has a label, larger bowl is stamped GRAYSHOTT, small bowl is unmarked.

The front is nice, but the clock itself is plastic c**p.

Grayshott mouse

Post by Flintztone on February 14th 2014, 1:49 am

Can anyone help me identify this vase.  I have tried researching this, but currently not able to find anything about it.  There's no markings, so too has limited my chances.  It's roughly about 5 1/2" in height.    Happy

There are a handful of potteries that have mice, this might be Grayshott

Saw a Grayshott owl jug the other day. Not as nice as the Farnham ones. Signed TRS?

Stamped Grayshott but typically Dartington in design. Made post-merger, I assume.
