Yes I think you're right. One of those potteries that's contemporary to Wedgewood, Copeland Spode, and similar. Maybe Dudson.

It looks like a stoneware body so probably not Staffordshire more likely Derbyshire.

Looks along the same lines as Burton Pottery to me. (I don't know if it is by them, probably just similar)

I have some similar and have assumed they are from the Bourne, Lovatts, Langley family of potteries made in the early years after WW2 when coloured decoration was only allowed on export items. Hence the use of texture for decoration. I don't know if this is true and hopefully someone knows more.

I really like them and you can pick them up really cheap.

Burton itself is in Staffordshire, but the Burton pottery was at Newhall near Burton on Trent. (as I understand it from Godden's book)
