Red glass vase with ceramic ?

I picked up this vase several months ago, it is a ruby red colour with gold flecks, with an eggshell blue ceramic affect on the lower part of the vase, the base of the vase feels a little like fine sandpaper rather than glass. Anyone have any suggestions as to origin?

Stromberg ?

I have had this vase in a cupboard for some years but have never identified it.

It stands just over 8 inches high, is very heavy and thick walled glass which is mostly very clear. It is square/elliptical

3 by 4 inches at widest points. The rim is chamfered.

The base has no markings. Unfortunately it has some bloom to the inside.

I thought it may be Stromberg as it is similar to other Stromberg pieces.

Any ideas or help greatfully accepted.

Its me again with my 2nd post. This is another charity shop purchase, the vase is 12in tall made of clear heavy glass, with a bright yellow spiral design running down from the rim to the base, with several blue/orange/white oval shapes dotted above the yellow spiral. Again I would be interested to know the manufacturer and the possible date of manufacture if at all possible. The base has no marks and the neck of the vase is very slightly tilted.

I think this was a decoritive table lighter stand? or mayb just a vase? Any idea on age or what the numbers on bottom mean? I am completely clueless on this item and/or pottery in general.

The diameter is about 2 inches and it is 7 inches tall.

Why is the bottom marked from a 5 to a 10? What do the numbers mean/ any info would be great.

Thanks- MIke

I have these two Mugs/tankards in the back of my cupboard and am curious as to where ? who ? and what ? They could be Ikea or 'handmade in China' for all I know . I use them for Latte's. They are Amber, 16cm at the highest part of the sloped rim, 24cm around the base and 20cm at the rim. They certainly look handmade. Thanks

Hi - wondered whether anyone knows the pattern name for these cups/saucers. The naive style reminds me of Picknick and Pomona (or even Granada), but I doubt I am that lucky!!

Cups are not marked at all, and the overglaze mark on the saucers is fading...

Thanks!

One of the less well recognized designers at Rorstrand is Inger Persson, her brightly coloured POP teapot in the 60s is probably her best known design, but I have always liked these little balloon vases with their slightly wonky shape and matte finish - very tactile. I ahve never been able to date them accurately, I guess 1960s but if anyone knows better.....

Holkham Pottery

Holkham Hall in Norfolk is a Palladian style mansion, home of the Coke family and the Earls of Leicester and built between 1734 and 1764 by the first Earl of Leicester, Thomas Coke.

A pottery was established at Holkham Hall more than 50 years ago, making it the first stately home to produce pottery on-site to sell in the gift shop. Holkham Pottery ceased manufacture in September 2007.

This is a candle holder but they produced mugs, cups, lamps - all manner of items in a similar style.

I'm a bit of a West German novice so any thoughts on this vase would be much appreciated.

I've trawled the web and haven't been able to find anything quite like it, is this because it's an unusual model number (240) or because it's so common no one bothers with it!

I have been on a number of websites to find a date of manufacture for this paperweight. It is 5.5cm in height with Langham England engraved on the base. There is a bit of scratching on the base which I assume takes a while to happen. I want to list it for sale and would like some more info if Possible. A hint at a sensible price wouldn't go amiss. Cheers all for looking. Pete

I bought this at a carboot sale last year and have still never worked out what it is? When I bought it I thought it may be a Frank Thrower design but I don't think they ever made anything this colour at Dartington. It could be modern but it was another of those pieces that when you picked it up I just had that feeling it was something?? Any help greatly appreciated.

It is 10 CMS TALL X 15 CMS DIAMETER, has a domed base and a rough pontil ( as if it has just been snapped off and not polished). It has an original paper label which I assume to be the retailer ELWELLS HARLOW ESSEX (NOT A GREAT GLASS MAKING CENTRE) which says that is British Hand Made. Hello all.........this is my first posting and I'm hoping someone can help me identify this vase please (sorry about the quality of the photos, I'm new to this!)

The vase is 7.75 ins high and 13.5 ins circumference around its widest point. It weighs around 1 kg. It is a lovely amber colour with bluey/green oval discs. With the light behind it the base glows a lovely deep orange colour. The rim is not uniform in thickness, it varies between 5mm - 7mm.

Any help or suggestons ...

It has been suggested by those wiser than me that I should post pieces separately so here is the second of my recent finds I like to think of this as an end of the world champagne flute because being (I believe the technical term is) double waisted it has a larger than average volume and it's highly visible in an emergency situation so it seems ideally suited to the role. Anyway I love it but hopefully someone on here knows what it is and wants to share :-)

small blue dish possibly Cornish?

Another unidentified piece! This small dish has an inscribed signature on base which looks vaguely familiar but I can't place it. I keep thinking that perhaps it is one of the Cornish potteries. Any ideas would be welcome.
